Rubber Headed Mallet

It is important for every pyro to have a rubber or otherwise rawhide headed mallet to ram rockets, fountins, hummers, buzz bombs, helicopters etc... A rubber mallet will not put a large amount of shock on the composition you are ramming, due to the fact that the rubber head absorbs most of the impact. This makes it safer to ram explosive compositions. Rubber mallets are often cheap and easy to find. Harbor Freight (U.S) carries a 1 pound mallet for 2 U.S dollars. You can buy 30 dollar rawhide mallets from some pyro websites, but a simple 2 dollar rubber mallet will work just as well.
