Zinc and Sulfur propellant

This propellant is easily prepared, but suffers from a number of disadvantages such as a very low specific impulse, high density, and high sensitivity to friction and shock. It has a very high burn rate and produces large amounts of smoke and a very bright green flame.

-This is Commercialy known as Zinkit, and has a maximum pressure of about 175 kg per cm2 in confined space. It is also used as amateur rocket fuel.

The composition is a simple stoichiometric mixture of zinc and sulphur, both finely powdered:
